Accounting Manager

Vaco is partnering with a well-established organization in the Canton/Litchfield area that’s looking to add an Accounting Manager to their team.

The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP. This person will manage and mentor a team while partnering closely with leadership to support business objectives.

• Overseeing monthly and annual financial statement preparation
• Managing general ledger activity, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Supporting multi-entity accounting and consolidations
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Partnering with external auditors
• Driving process improvements and supporting system upgrades
• Mentoring and developing accounting staff

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 7+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with accounting systems and process improvement initiatives
• Proven analytical, organizational, and communication skills
