Job Title
Assign repair orders to technicians based on skill level, experience, certifications, and current workload
Monitor technician productivity and maintain a balanced workflow
Prioritize customer waiters, appointments, warranty repairs, and emergency repairs
Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding repair status and estimated completion times
Monitor shop capacity and adjust work assignments as needed
Ensure repair orders are dispatched accurately and efficiently
Track technician hours, efficiency, productivity
Work with the parts department to minimize delays caused by unavailable parts
Maintain communication between technicians, advisors, and management
Review repair orders for completeness before dispatching
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required
Previous automotive dealership service experience preferred
Experience as a Service Dispatcher, Shop Foreman, Service Advisor, or Technician is highly desirable
Strong understanding of automotive repair processes
Knowledge of warranty and customer pay repair procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer proficiency and experience with dealer management systems
