- Permanent position for a Machining Technician on 3rd shift supporting precision machining operations at an advanced materials manufacturer.
- Set up and operate CNC equipment to drill and machine precision glass components to print.
- Perform tooling changeovers between product families and run multiple machines concurrently.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance including cleaning, coolant and filter service, and tooling inventory control.
- Inspect work output against drawings and specifications and record inspection data.
- Track process and inspection results and review process stability on a recurring basis.
- Identify machine and process issues requiring Engineering or Maintenance support and participate in the Total Preventive Maintenance program.
- Complete material transactions and scrap reporting in the ERP system.
- Support downstream production operations and maintain a safe work area in accordance with 5S and audit requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of CNC setup and operation experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of machine tools, gauges, and metrology practices.
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to hold tolerances to +/- .0001".
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret complex manufacturing drawings and process layouts.
- Ability to write and revise work procedures.
- Experience troubleshooting equipment and process issues on the floor.
- Associate degree in an engineering or manufacturing technology discipline a plus.
- Experience machining glass or other brittle materials a plus.
