Staff Accountant - Manufacturing Company

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a growing manufacturing organization in the Atlanta area. This role plays a key part in internal financial reporting, inventory costing, and month‑end closing processes.

• Support monthly close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries and financial statements.
• Analyze inventory data to determine classifications and make adjustments for inventory and cost of goods sold.
• Maintain perpetual inventory system to ensure accuracy of stock levels and valuation.
• Generate reports on labor costs and shipments for management review and decision‑making.
• Manage standard cost system updates and calculations to reflect current production costs.
• Conduct product line analysis to assist in financial evaluation and strategic planning.
• Prepare month‑end balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies proactively.
• Record month‑end journal entries to close accounting periods accurately.
• Respond to management inquiries regarding expenses, budgets, and financial data accuracy.
• Support external audits and compliance activities by providing requested financial information related to tax filings and other regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general ledger accounting within manufacturing or automotive industries preferred.
• Strong technical skills in account reconciliation, cost analysis, and month‑end close procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an on‑site setting in the Atlanta area.
