Place Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a Traveling Construction Superintendent in our General Contracting Division - Commercial/Special Projects Department based out of our Canton, GA office location. This position will primarily focus on managing, supervising, inspecting, and approving day‑to‑day operations of the General Contracting Division projects, including complex Ground Up Projects with Site and Civil work as well as all ground up building construction.

You’ll Do
- Supervise, inspect, and approve day‑to‑day operations of commercial construction projects
- Complete all required on‑site paperwork
- Coordinate construction project with store management, subcontractors, and PSI employees
- Represent PSI with professionalism and integrity
- Schedule, manage, and assist subcontractors as needed
- Set expectations of subcontractors and hold them accountable for results
- Provide direct accountability for job safety reporting and documentation
- Complete reports and documentation required or requested by management
- Inspect and secure job site to prevent damages and theft
- Ensure a safe work environment by following and enforcing safety standards
- Establish sequence & manner to carry out work, consistent with Project Manager’s direction and to keep the project on schedule
- Understand, study, and direct work based on construction drawings
- Prepare and document job meetings, safety meetings, reports, daily pictures & logs
- Be willing to physically work as needed
- Accomplish any other tasks that may be required at any given time
- Excellent attention to detail – consistently produces work with nearly 100% accuracy and focuses on quality
- Team player – over‑me mentality; considers how actions will impact the whole group
- Effective communicator – strong verbal and written skills; displays professionalism in all circumstances to represent the company well
- Flexible – understands shifting business priorities and pivots easily

- 7+ years of prior construction superintendent experience required
- Read and understand drawings and specs, ensuring all scopes are completed in accordance with prints and specs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong phone and computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and photo sharing
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time; willing to work weekends or required project acceleration; valid driver’s license
- Possess OSHA 10‑hour, basic first aid & CPR training, and NPDES Blue Card
- Work at night if required
- Learn quickly and make educated decisions to maintain schedule
- Solid work ethic; willing to do what is needed to complete job and stay on schedule
- Understand projects from start to finish and anticipate potential problems
- Manage both subcontractors and PSI employees
- Communicate with clients and keep them fully updated with schedule
- Identify and solve problems
- Manage actual schedule, including two‑week lookaheads
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to transfer 130 lbs. a distance of 12 feet with help of another person
