The Commercial Flooring Project Manager will manage large, complex flooring projects from turnover through final closeout, with full responsibility for operational execution, financial performance, client satisfaction, and field accountability.
Key qualifications and responsibilities include:
- Experience with RFMS Measure preferred
- Ability to read, interpret, develop, and revise flooring plans
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, construction details, finish schedules, and project scope requirements
- Demonstrated success managing large, technically complex commercial flooring projects
- Established subcontractor relationships and the ability to recruit, develop, and maintain a reliable roster of seasoned, proven flooring installers
- Thorough knowledge of commercial flooring installation standards, manufacturer requirements, and industry best practices
- Ability to evaluate installation quality, identify deficiencies, and enforce corrective action
- Ability to hold subcontractors, superintendents, and field employees accountable for safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and job-site conduct
- Full ownership of project financial performance, including budgets, revenue, material and labor costs, gross profit, forecasting, and project-level profit-and-loss reporting
- Ability to track earnings, forecast project outcomes, and clearly explain financial wins, losses, risks, and margin variances
- Experience negotiating material pricing, subcontractor rates, change orders, and other project-related costs
- Ability to manage project documentation, procurement, submittals, scheduling, change orders, billing, closeout requirements, and warranty obligations
- Ability to build strong client and general-contractor relationships while helping attract, retain, and expand business
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
This is a hybrid position requiring a combination of office work, remote work, project-site visits, and field oversight. Candidates must live within a practical commuting distance of the company’s Canton, Georgia office and be available to travel to project sites as required.
