About This Role
Chroma Early Learning Academy in Canton seeks enthusiastic teachers who love singing, dancing, storytelling, and nurturing young, energetic children. Join our team to make a difference.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with co-teachers to complete daily classroom activities, including implementing curriculum, changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, and sanitizing.
- Observe all rules and regulations related to health, safety, and child care.
- Implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules according to the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum.
- Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make independent decisions.
- Provide verbal recognition and consistent expectations for children's behavior.
- Handle housekeeping duties for classroom, common areas, and playground.
- Attend required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
- Adhere to professional appearance guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Assist in other capacities as necessary.
- Lift up to 35 lbs. when handling children for program facilitation or safety.
- Meet basic requirements of local and state child care regulatory agencies.
- Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program.
- Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds in connection with handling children.

- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (preferred)

- Previous experience working in a childcare facility (preferred)
- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
- Minimum age 18 years.

Hourly pay ranges from $13.00 to $16.00, depending on experience and degree level.
