• Collaborate with co-teachers to complete daily classroom activities, including implementing curriculum, changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, and sanitizing.
• Observe all rules and regulations related to health, safety, and child care.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules according to the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum.
• Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make independent decisions.
• Provide verbal recognition and consistent expectations for children's behavior.
• Handle housekeeping duties for classroom, common areas, and playground.
• Attend required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
• Adhere to professional appearance guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Assist in other capacities as necessary.
• Lift up to 35 lbs. when handling children for program facilitation or safety.

• Meet basic requirements of local and state child care regulatory agencies.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds in connection with handling children.

• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (preferred)
• Previous experience working in a childcare facility (preferred)

• Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
• Minimum age 18 years.

Hourly pay ranges from $13.00 to $16.00, depending on experience and degree level.
