Position SummaryAs Taymer continues to expand, we offer an exciting opportunity to join our growing team. This role involves working at our Bowdon facility, traveling to customer sites, and resolving electro-mechanical issues on the fly. We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to our new product developments.
A successful applicant will be a self starter, responsible and organized with detailed written notes and time management. We seek an excellent communicator who is comfortable working remote and travelling to customer locations. Previous experience and confidence devising troubleshooting plans & commissioning solutions when faced with electro-mechanical issues.

- Comfortable interacting directly with customers
- Independent and self-motivated
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of electrical circuits
- Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC’s, HMI’s, SCADA
- Proficient with the Microsoft Software Suite
- Valid driver’s license
- Post-Secondary Degree related to engineering (or relevant experience)
- 2 years Experience servicing and maintaining Industrial Machinery
- Experience with CRM software is an asset
- Demonstrated on-the-job problem-solving experience
- Experience working with vision systems including lighting and optics is an asset
- Experience in international business an asset
- Experience in wire and cable industry an asset
- Commission and integrate computer vision systems, indent printers, and precision length counters into industrial manufacturing lines across North America and internationally
- Provide customer support through training, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and both remote and onsite services
- Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and implement custom features for PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and VFDs
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships, demonstrate equipment, and represent Taymer at trade expositions
- Work closely with Engineering in assembly, fabrication, and servicing of Taymer machinery
- Frequent travel to customer sites within the US, with international travel as an option
