Position: Georgia Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead drafting efforts and point processing (both conventional and GPS) and coordinate training opportunities for both crews and office staff.
  • Coordinate field work completion, preparation, calculation sheets, drafting, and quality.
  • Prepare forecast of workload for assigned staff (field and office).
  • Review boundary retracements with the purpose of condensing the drafting to improve quality, consistency, and overall plat development efforts.
  • Assist with the development of proposal materials and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate schedules, budgets, and project preparation.
  • Review work for consistency of presentation and the application of appropriate standards. Responsible for the quality of product.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and progress for timely completion of projects.
  • Assist with review of client billings and monitor outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Develop probable cost estimates for survey projects as requested by the client.
  • Review, sign, and seal plans and/or easements as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Licensed to practice Land Surveying in the State of Georgia (PLS)
  • Boundary/cadastral survey experience (GDOT database prep experience preferred)
  • Micro Station InRoads, Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center experience
  • Trimble survey equipment experience (Total Station and GPS)
  • Topographic mapping skills and the ability to draw detailed sketches of structures
