DDM, Inc has immediate openings for Direct Support Professional PRN

Position Summary:The Direct Support Professional (DSP) Floater provides critical support to individuals with developmental disabilities potentially across multiple residential homes within the Developmental Disabilities Ministries, Inc. (DDM). This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and extensive knowledge of DDM policies and procedures. The DSP Floater will fill in for vacancies, vacations, and call-outs, ensuring continuity of care and support for residents.

Provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community involvement.

Ensure the safety and well-being of residents by monitoring their physical and emotional health.

Implement and follow individualized support plans (ISPs) for each resident, promoting their personal growth and development.

Assist residents with medication administration and documentation in accordance with DDM policies and procedures.

Foster a positive and supportive environment, encouraging residents to achieve their goals and participate in community activities.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, including daily logs, incident reports, and communication logs.

Communicate effectively with other DSPs, supervisors, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Travel between various DDM homes as needed, providing support and coverage for DSP staff absences.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of DDM policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance in all aspects of care.

• Are you 21 years of age or older?
• Are you able to pass a criminal background check if hired?
• Can you provide the necessary documentation to prove that you are a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or a foreign national with authorization to work in the United States?
• Do you have any of the following on your driving record? Three (3) or more moving violations or at fault accidents (or a combination of the violations and accidents) within the preceding 36 months. Super speeder ticket. Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol (including Open Container). Hit and Run Accident. Failure to report an accident. Operating a vehicle under a suspended or revoked license.
  
  Homicide, assault or a felony arising from the operation of a motor vehicle. Reckless Driving/Speed Contest/Racing Distracted Driving
