Key Responsibilities of the Polysomnographic Tech – Sleep Technologist
- Prepare adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and equipment for sleep disorders testing
- Monitor the polysomnogram and document per policy
- Demonstrate expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations
Requirements of the Polysomnographic Tech – Sleep Technologist
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty
- Current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Must possess current and unrestricted certification or registration in one of the following:
Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
