Helpdesk Technician – Canton, GA

We have an immediate opening for a Helpdesk Technician in Canton, GA. In this role, you will coordinate with our Managed Service Provider and provide hands‑on, day‑to‑day support for our networking, software, and cybersecurity operations in tandem with existing outsourced partners.

Required
  • 3‑5 Years in IT: Endpoint, network, system administration, or engineering experience recommended.
  • Microsoft Office 365: Proficiency with the full suite, especially Exchange Online and SharePoint.
  • Firewalls & Networking: Hands‑on with Watch Guard, switching, and routing basics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, networking, IT, or equivalent work experience is preferred (not a must).
  • MCSE/MCSA, Security+, and VMware Certified Professional are a plus.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Proficiency in quickly diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Windows & Network Security: Solid understanding of Windows environments, plus fundamentals of network and computer security.
  • Active Directory & DNS: Hands‑on experience with AD/LDAP, DNS, and Identity Access Management.
  • Manufacturing Environment (Preferred): Prior exposure to DFARS/CMMC compliance or similar regulated industries is beneficial.

    Experience:

    Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, DUO, Windows Defender, Watch Guard VPN, and VMware ESXi.
Job Details
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Coordinate with our MSP to help oversee firewalls, networking equipment, servers, databases, malware protection, and VOIP phone systems.
  • Hardware/Software Management: Install, configure, secure, and maintain hardware, software, printers, and scanners.
  • Technical Support: Provide Tier‑2 technical support in‑person or via phone, ensuring swift issue resolution.
  • User & Account Administration: Manage user accounts, email maintenance, password resets, account lockouts, and identify hardware/software/service needs.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with our MSP to handle server backups, critical software/databases, and network security/connectivity.
  • Office 365 Expertise: Serve as a hands‑on subject matter expert for Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and other O365 applications.

Pay Range: $40–$48/hr
