MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three years successful work experience performing computer and peripheral hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs.
Experience with and knowledge of current Microsoft Windows operating systems, Apple IOS and application support preferred. Familiarity with software distribution methods for large volume deployment in an enterprise environment. Able to lift and transport shipments up to 45 pounds; forklift operation is required.
GOAL
Provide first and second-level hardware, software and networking support. Assist in the configuration and deployment of new and existing hardware. Assist with seamless operation of the CCSD technology warehousing operations and repair center.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, configure, troubleshoot and repair technology-based devices under the protocols established by the District's Technology Services department.
- Receive equipment and supplies; and, ensure they are in acceptable condition and in accordance with quantities and specifications.
- Follow established protocols to ensure the security, maintenance and general safety and cleanliness of the Technology warehouse facility.
- Provide hardware, software and networking support to end-users throughout the county.
- Oversee and manage the assembly of equipment based on manufacturer's specifications.
- Maintain appropriate records that ensure accurate inventories of equipment and supplies on a continual daily basis.
- Have a firm understanding of computer hardware design and the ability to successfully configure systems to operate according to design specifications.
- Coordinate and actively participate in the installation of new technology-based deployments.
- Consult with users to define technical needs and requirements.
- Assist with the skills development of the Technology Specialist and Technology Support Specialists.
- Ensure that the technology naming and numbering standards are followed.
- Thoroughly document unique solutions and configurations and share that information with Cherokee County technology personnel.
- Attain and sustain certifications and knowledge required to perform assigned duties related to the position as defined by supervisor.
- Recommend, setup, troubleshoot and provide training on emerging technologies related to K12 education.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Professionally represent the school district at meetings, conventions and conferences when required and approved.
- Maintain a positive, professional and safe work environment.
- Perform and promote all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies of the Cherokee County School System.
- Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position.
- Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner.
- Participate, successfully, in the training programs and conferences to increase the individual's skill and proficiency related to the assignment.
- Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility.
- Ensure adherence to good safety procedures.
- Follow federal and state laws, as well as School Board policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
