Field Claims Specialist - GA Workers' Compensation

, a part of Great American Insurance Group. We insure workers’ compensation coverage for large companies and focus on aggressive, outcome‑driven claims adjusting.

In this role, you will investigate and adjust workers' compensation claims, develop strategies for resolution, and collaborate with defense attorneys and vendors. Your work will involve both office and field duties, with travel to Georgia locations.

• Investigate losses
• Analyze coverage and determine compensability and benefits
• Establish reserves and negotiate settlements
• Conduct face‑to‑face meetings with claimants and insureds
• Prepare large loss reports for internal and external audiences
• Attend settlement conferences, pre‑trials, and trials as assigned
• Work closely with defense attorneys and vendors (medical case management, surveillance, etc.)

• Requires prolonged sitting and/or standing
• Requires frequent travel, including overnight stays
• Requires ability to operate a motor vehicle for long periods
• May require occasional travel by airplane
• Requires frequent use of computer

• Minimum 10 years of Georgia workers’ compensation claims adjusting experience with high‑exposure claims
• Active Georgia workers’ compensation adjuster license
• Strong consideration for industry designations such as Associate in Claims
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across internal and external contacts
