Job Description

Law firm seeking a Family Law Associate to join our team! You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draft legal documents, and advise clients on legal issues. We are looking for someone with experience in handling the following types of cases:
Divorce, Child Custody, Alimony, Child Support, Contempt, and Juvenile Court Dependency Cases. Our office is located in Cherokee County, Georgia and we handle cases in metro Atlanta and North Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in court
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
  • Advise clients on legal issues
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
  • Collaborate with Partners/Senior Attorneys to develop case strategies
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and Member of the Georgia Bar
  • Previous experience in family law or a related area of law
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with drafting various legal documents
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Prior experience in negotiating and litigating cases is preferred
