Manufacturing Production, Machine Operator
The CNC machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC machinist loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.
Essential Functions and Duties- Perform all assigned machine shop operations
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
- Maintain clean, orderly conditions of work area and equipment following prescribed safety procedures.
- Milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding
- Inspect machined products and document results
- Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.
- Assist others as needed.
This job operates in manufacturing plant setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, heavy machinery, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can at times be loud; the use of hearing protection is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; use hand tools; twist and pull with hands/wrist;
and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This is a full day-time position. Hours and days may vary depending on workload and business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as production demand.
