Position

Summary

JM Huber is seeking a Maintenance Technican at Active Minerals International, a Kaolin Clay production facility in Gordon GA.

Maintenance Technican:
This position will successfully perform all tasks of the Maintenance II position as defined by the Job Tasks Analysis (JTA) and support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

2nd Shift: 4pm - 12pm M-F, weekends as required

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals; performs all tasks as defined by the JTA.
  • Performs emergency/unscheduled and basic preventative maintenance repairs of production equipment.
  • Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and makes adjustments as defined by JTA.
  • Obtains appropriate certifications/licenses required to operate a variety of equipment.
  • Detects faulty operations and defective equipment; reports those and any unusual situations to management.
  • Organizes all company‑provided tools and returns them to the proper workspace.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work areas.
  • Records all spare parts used on the work order to ensure proper re‑order.
  • Trains/coaches employees in the Maintenance 1 classification.
  • Follows and adheres to all QMS procedures and documentation as applicable to position and department, and as required by ISO.
  • Complies with all federal or state laws and regulations and company policy and procedures.
  • Conducts workplace exams for all daily work areas; immediately resolves and/or reports hazardous conditions; properly secures all guarding immediately following repairs.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical devices throughout the manufacturing plant.
  • Basic knowledge with computers and computer applications including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Must wear all required PPE including electrical and respiratory equipment as required.

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit‑sharing payout.
