Description
- Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs on production equipment during operations and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Apply mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
The maintenance technician is responsible for maintaining production and facility equipment in accordance with safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the facility’s business goals.
Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED; prior experience in maintenance systems or an equivalent degree from a technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
- Apply common sense to execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form and solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Vision, medical, and dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.
