Job Title:Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Neuro Unit
Location: 450 Northside Cherokee Boulevard, Canton, GA 30115
Schedule: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Shift Pattern: 3x12s
Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Days: Monday–Sunday (Rotating Schedule)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
The Acute Neuro Unit provides care for patients requiring medical-surgical and neurological services, including but not limited to:
- Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgery
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from acute illnesses, neurological conditions, and surgical procedures. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
The unit cares for a diverse patient population, including:
- Post-surgical patients recovering from neurosurgical, ENT, and general surgical procedures
- Patients with acute neurological conditions
- Ambulatory patients who can perform some aspects of self-care
- Patients requiring ongoing neurological and medical assessments
- Bedridden patients requiring total nursing care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor neurological status and recognize changes in patient condition
Provide post-operative and medical-surgical nursing care - Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
- 36 hours per week
- Acute Neuro/Medical-Surgical unit
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this assignment.
