Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Acute Neuro Unit)
Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Monday – Sunday)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care on an Acute Neuro Med/Surg unit supporting services including neurosurgery, neurology, ear/nose/throat surgery, and general surgery
- Assess and monitor patients recovering from acute illnesses or surgical procedures
- Deliver care to a mixed patient population ranging from ambulatory patients capable of partial self‑care to bedridden patients requiring total care
- Perform ongoing neurological and clinical assessments to identify changes in patient condition and respond appropriately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current ACLS certification
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
- Prior experience in an acute neurology or neurosurgical nursing environment
- Familiarity with post‑operative care for ENT and general surgery patients
