Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Pre-Op Unit to deliver comprehensive preoperative care. This role involves assessing patients, preparing them for surgery, and ensuring optimal clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and identify risks prior to procedures.
• Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery by providing education and support.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as required.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Min 2 years of recent experience in a Pre-Op or similar clinical setting.
• Hold current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills.
• Possess an active Registered Nurse license.
• Ability to work varied shifts and holidays, including major holidays.
• Maintain flexibility to fulfill requirements for holiday scheduling.
