We have an immediate opening for a CMM Inspector / Quality Inspector in Canton, GA.
Summary:
In this role, you will perform precision dimensional inspections of composite parts, machined components, and various tooling using advanced metrology equipment, including FARO arms, laser trackers, and/or Creaform systems.
- Perform thorough dimensional inspections of in-process and finished products.
- Program and operate CMM and other metrology equipment to verify product conformance.
- Verify physical parts against CAD models, engineering drawings, and blueprints.
- Use Poly Works and other inspection software to perform dimensional analysis and evaluate part conformity.
- Accurately measure critical dimensions, features, and geometric tolerances in accordance with engineering requirements and GD&T.
- Identify, investigate, and document dimensional deviations, nonconformances, and other product defects.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting measurement results, deviations, and inspection findings for quality and first article reports.
- Conduct and document internal audits and quality evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Quality team to maintain and continuously improve quality control procedures in accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS).
- Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot equipment issues and product defects.
- Perform routine visual inspections to ensure product quality and compliance.
- 2+ years of experience Previous experience in quality control or inspection, with an emphasis on programming and operating CMM/metrology equipment.
- Familiarity with Poly Works software and experience using it for dimensional inspection and analysis.
- Strong understanding of CAD modeling, engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience verifying physical parts against CAD models and engineering requirements.
- Experience with FARO arms, laser trackers, Creaform, CMMs, or similar metrology systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to accurately measure dimensions, identify deviations, and determine product conformance.
- Experience creating detailed inspection reports and documenting inspection results.
- Experience in a NADCAP-certified environment
- Experience with AS9102 forms (highly desired)
- Experience in a AS9100 certified environment
- Creoform systems
- Instron machines (test for flexibility)
- Physical Materials Testing
Pay: $33-$36/hr.
