Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position involves working closely with production teams to implement quality assurance processes and maintain compliance with industry regulations. The Quality Technician will be responsible for conducting inspections, performing audits, and utilizing various quality systems to uphold our commitment to excellence.

  • Performs and records daily inspection of raw materials, in-process product, and finished goods.
  • Reads and accurately uses measuring devices such as dial calipers, tape measures, and feeler gauges to complete detailed reports.
  • Conducts routine quality checks across all production areas, including Extrusion, Profiling, and Packing
    , to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Reports any blemishes, defects, or deviations immediately to the Supervisor/Lead on shift.
  • Conducts inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and customer specifications.
  • Utilizes quality management systems and tools, including Calypso, vision inspection systems, and lab equipment, for accurate testing, data collection, and analysis.
  • Performs quality audits and works to develop improved audit procedures and quality checks for stronger compliance and process control.
  • Documents all inspection results, lab tests, and audit findings in detailed reports, maintaining accurate quality records.
  • Prepares and delivers monthly quality reports summarizing inspection data, audit results, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborates with production teams to develop and implement effective quality assurance protocols that drive continuous improvement.
  • Assists in the fabrication or improvement of testing equipment and tools to enhance inspection and audit processes.
  • Participates in training sessions related to QA/QC practices and promotes a culture of quality, consistency, and compliance with CGMP regulations.

    Requirements

    EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

    1.
    Completion of high school or possession of an equivalent certification is preferred

    2.
    Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing setting

    3.
    Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools and technical instruments

    4.
    Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of collaborating across departments

    SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

    1.
    Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment.

    2.
    Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying defects or non-conformance in products.

    3.
    Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

    4.
    Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

    5. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in quality processes.

    6.
    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, formatting, sorting/filtering, basic functions like VLOOKUP or pivot tables)
