Integrity Environmental Solutions is seeking a skilled Pump and Flare Electrical Technician to support landfill gas system operations with a strong emphasis on electrical controls, automation, and instrumentation. This role supports critical environmental control systems including landfill gas flares, blowers, and leachate/condensate pump systems.
The primary work location is Raleigh, NC with opportunities for travel to sites throughout Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida as needed. This position involves hands‑on field work in active landfill environments, significant outdoor work, manual labor, and the ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and documentation skills.
This role’s primary responsibility is to support Integrity Environmental Solutions’ landfill operations by performing skilled electrical work related to pump systems, landfill gas flares, blowers, and associated control equipment. The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems that support landfill gas and solid waste infrastructure.
This role requires hands‑on field work in active landfill environments and includes electrical support for new construction projects, system upgrades, and ongoing operations and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical controls, automation, and instrumentation rather than traditional journeyman‑level electrical work. A commitment to safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance is essential.
Additional Responsibilities:- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical and control systems for:
- Leachate and condensate pump systems
- Landfill gas flares, blowers, and associated control equipment
- Troubleshoot and support automation systems
, including:- PLCs
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Motor controls
- Sensors and instrumentation
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Perform electrical upgrades, repairs, and system modifications in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document findings
- Support startup, commissioning, and testing of new electrical and mechanical systems
- Work closely with operations, engineering, and project teams to ensure efficient system performance
- Maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Follow all company safety policies and participate in safety meetings and training
- High School Diploma (College Degree Preferred Engineering/Science)
- Valid Driver’s License with no DUI’s
- Must be at least 18 years or older; if we don’t raise this age to at least 19 then they will not be an approved driver.
- Must be eligible to be legally employed in the U.S.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Successfully pass a pre‑employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check
- Landfill gas field experience or construction experience
- 2+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician or Electrician, preferably in:
Industrial, environmental, landfill, or wastewater settings - Strong knowledge of electrical systems including:
Motors, pumps, control panels, PLCs, VFDs and Electrical instrumentation and automation systems
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
