Job Description # Access Control Technician We are seeking an experienced
** Access Control Technician
** to support an ongoing security installation project and work alongside our current team member. This role focuses on day‑to‑day fieldwork involving access control hardware, troubleshooting, and device installation. The ideal candidate brings
** 5+ years of hands‑on experience
** with access control systems and low‑voltage wiring.
* Install, wire, and troubleshoot access control devices, including door controllers mounted above each door
* Wire and connect access control panels, door readers, and related hardware
* Use a meter to test circuits and identify shorts or wiring issues
* Assist the existing technician with system build‑outs and field support
* Perform device layout, hardware mounting, and cable routing as needed
* Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
* Minimum
** 5 years
** of access control installation or similar low‑voltage experience
* Strong proficiency in wiring door controllers, access control panels, and card readers
* Ability to diagnose electrical issues using a meter
* Solid understanding of low‑voltage wiring best practices
* ** No programming required
