Position Summary
Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician – Walmart (Local Retail Store) – supports and oversees repair within the facility’s refrigeration and HVAC equipment team, using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
What You'll DoAs a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician, you will maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment, use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and staff, provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls, inspect and test facilities, complete required training, ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, and lift up to 75 pounds, move ladders, and work at heights.
Minimum Qualifications- 10 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
- Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration. Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and refrigeration.
- Universal EPA certification
- Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or an associate’s of applied science in A/C and refrigeration
- Excellent driving record
- Prior work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems
- Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders and support store associates.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policy.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move and climb ladders, and work safely at heights.
- Individual compensation packages based on skill set, experience, job level, and qualifications.
- Eligible for bonus incentive.
- Hourly wage range: $26.00–$51.00 (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location). Additional premiums may apply.
