School Psychologist – School-Based Position
Total Communication Therapy is hiring a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist for full-time and part-time school-based positions with Cherokee County School District.
We are a therapist-owned private practice committed to providing high-quality special education and related services to students across Georgia.

- Thorough knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504, Georgia eligibility requirements, and special education due process.
- Knowledge and experience conducting comprehensive psycho educational evaluations and interpreting assessment results.
- Ability to determine eligibility for special education services and develop recommendations that support student success.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills when collaborating with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to consult with school personnel regarding academic, behavioral, social‑emotional, and mental health interventions.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary special education team.
- Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations for students referred for special education services.
- Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive written evaluation reports.
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, Section 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student success.
- Provide consultation regarding behavioral, academic, and social‑emotional interventions.
- Assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and crisis response as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all federal, state, district, and professional standards.
- Support positive learning environments through data‑driven recommendations and collaborative problem‑solving.
- Specialist (Ed.S.), Master's plus Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) certification in School Psychology (or eligibility for certification).
