Position SummaryWe are accepting resumes/application for a Loan Portfolio Manager in our Canton Banking Center located in Fulton County, IL. This position will oversee and service portfolios of commercial and agricultural loans and is responsible for managing and monitoring the assigned loan portfolio(s) in close coordination with the lender. While the Portfolio Manager provides credit analysis, servicing and risk management support, the ultimate responsibility for borrowers’ relationships, credit decisions and portfolio performance rests with the lender.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, coupled with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. They will maintain a customer‑oriented mindset and possess excellent organizational abilities. Effective oral and written communication is essential, along with a tactful and collaborative approach to working with others. The candidate should manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and remain composed under pressure. Additionally, the candidate will have knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities- Manage assigned commercial/ag loan portfolios, monitoring performance, covenants, and payment activity.
- Prepare annual and interim borrower reviews, analyzing financials, collateral, and industry trends.
- Identify potential credit issues early and recommend solutions.
- Assist with loan renewals, modifications, documentation, and compliance.
- Review financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow to assess repayment ability.
- Collaborate with lenders, support staff, and clients to strengthen relationships and ensure accurate portfolio reporting.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED):
Required - Associate Degree (two‑year college or technical school) Preferred. Field of Study:
Business, finance, or related field. - 1–2 years of experience in banking/finance. Loan experience preferred. Knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Proficiency with common Windows‑based software (Examples: Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe).
