The Assisted Living Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Canton, IL, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the assisted living community. This role ensures high-quality resident care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective coordination of services across independent living and assisted living settings. The Administrator leads and supports team members, manages budgets and resources, and monitors occupancy, revenue, and expenses to maintain financial stability.
Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and supportive environment, fostering positive relationships with residents, families, and staff, and implementing policies and procedures that align with organizational standards. The role also involves collaborating with clinical and support teams, driving resident satisfaction, and supporting marketing and community outreach efforts.
- Experience in senior living communities and independent living, with a strong understanding of resident-centered care and community operations.
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in assisted living and related care settings.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial oversight, and resource management to support sustainable operations.
- Previous leadership or management experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare administration.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, resolve conflicts, and support staff development and performance.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Familiarity with resident assessment processes, care planning, and coordination with healthcare providers.
- Relevant licensure or certification as required by state regulations for Assisted Living Administrators.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Gerontology, Business, or a related field preferred.
