Part-time EOW Nursing House Supervisor

Every Other Weekend (24 hours biweekly)
Supervises and coordinates activities for nursing care of neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across all nursing divisions. Plans, coordinates, evaluates, and staffs nursing assignments. Acts as the administrative person in charge of the hospital during the assigned shift, using judgment and critical skills to manage interactions with patients, families, staff, physicians, and visitors. Reports to the Director of Emergency Department.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Completes hospital and departmental orientation
- Ability to apply knowledge base of clinical variations associated with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- 3 years nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Current Illinois Licensure
- BLS certification through AHA required
- ACLS or willingness to obtain within 1 year
- PALS or willingness to obtain within 1 year
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Willingness to obtain emergency department experience/skills
- Willingness to attend management continuing education programs
- Responds and assists with all emergency codes throughout the hospital
The pay grade assigned to this position is 3400.1. All wages are determined by experience and skills; wage information will be discussed further upon interview selection.
