Summary Of Position

The Data Imager/Scanner reports directly to the Manager – Record Management.

The Data Imager/Scanner is responsible for accurately providing scanning support to multiple departments within Boston Mutual while maintaining the highest levels of service professionalism.

The Data Imager/Scanner is expected to:

  • Prep files for scanning.
  • Scan files and all associated documentation (claim forms, medical records, correspondence, worksheets, policy language and other materials included within the claim file).
  • Index each file once documents have been scanned to ensure records can be accessed for future reference.
  • Track and log daily production and perform quality control checks on scanned and indexed files to ensure images have a high degree of clarity and readability and records are indexed correctly.
  • Participate in department meetings.
  • Comply with privacy guidelines and protect the privacy of customer information.
  • Participate in organizational-wide special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.
Job Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma required.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of office or customer service experience required.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to perform and prioritize a high volume of tasks with excellent attention to detail while meeting goals and strict deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively build and extend relationships.
  • Strong computer skills using MS Office.
  • Insurance knowledge is a plus.
