Operations Manager
DePaoli Mosaic Company is a 136-year-old Terrazzo flooring contractor located in Canton, MA. We install award-winning Terrazzo floors in buildings all over New England. We are currently searching for a full-time Project Manager to join our small office staff.
Description:The Project Manager is responsible for delivering to our field superintendents a project that is ‘ready to install’ and provide continued support during the active and closeout portions of the job. This includes making sure that products and colors are approved and site conditions are acceptable. It also includes making sure that any RFI’s have been answered, the extent of work is up-to-date and clearly defined, shop drawings are approved, and any other project-specific paperwork has been submitted.
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic problem-solver with excellent organizational skills. They will have a great work ethic, strong attention to detail, a sense of humor, and an ability to perform a broad range of project duties with minimal supervision.
Salary & Benefits:- -$110-$125K/year

- Managing multiple terrazzo flooring projects at various stages of completion, from contract signing to close-out
- Preparing and submitting RFIs, Shop Drawings, Submittals, Change Orders, Claims, Request for Proposals, safety documentation, and any other required project-related communication
- Tracking proposals, T&M slips, and EWO’s for change orders. Negotiating with general contractors and construction managers to resolve these in company’s favor
- Serving as company representative at required virtual and in-person project meetings and prepare documentation, as necessary.
- Reviewing drawings and specifications for constructability, completeness, and accuracy
- Attending design meetings with Architect and/or Construction Manager as needed
- Managing both internal and external risks within the project’s lifetime, such as poor planning, design, delay, or non-conforming work, which directly or indirectly affect the project
- Ensuring work meets contractual standards and project estimate
- Ensuring all on-site compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules and company policies
- Visiting jobsites as required for monitoring/review of site conditions
- Answering RFI’s from field regarding clashes between field conditions and shop drawings, either on‑site and in‑person or via phone/computer
- Delegating to and overseeing work of project staff
- Other project-related duties as dictated by company need
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Excellent attendance record
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Good math skills, especially geometry
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Procore
- Proficiency in blueprint reading
- Commercial flooring experience
- Legally able to work in the United States
