Construction Manager-Substation

About the Role

Construction Manager – Substation Projects (1‑year contract, W‑2) based in Juno Beach, FL. Per diem available.

• Work safely near equipment energized at hazardous voltage levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate with direct reports to enhance teamwork and report issues.
• Use MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) and specialized substation construction software.
• Support turnover and commissioning through energization.
• Perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audit construction quality to ensure standards and specifications are met.
• Maintain open communication with team members, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the project.
• Keep detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections.
• Lead construction activities, monitor tasks, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts.

• Extensive knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and practices, with ability to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, ensuring the project stays on track.
• Experience with concrete work, flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, and GSU containment pits.
• Collaborate with EPC to resolve requests for information (RFI) and change orders.
• Perform material procurement and material take‑offs.

• Base salary range: $58.00/hr to $63.00/hr (dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills).
