About the role:

We're looking for a Customer Care Representative on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). This team is looking for an experienced customer‑focused representative to support the utility bill management operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving and is committed to delivering a high level of service. You will help ensure accurate account management and a seamless customer experience.

You will report to the onsite manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary contact for customers, utility providers, vendors, and third‑party suppliers.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring follow‑up and complete resolution.
  • Manage daily activities related to utility billing, including account setup, maintenance, and closure.
  • Provide support on billing inquiries, disconnection notices, and utility/vendor contract matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer records within CRM and billing systems.
  • Monitor account activity and identify discrepancies or issues requiring attention.
  • Analyze recurring customer concerns and recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Help with special projects and contribute to ongoing operational and process improvement projects.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience (at least 4 years in a customer‑facing role).
  • Preferred experience in energy or utilities, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel (capable of maintaining complex spreadsheets) and Word.
