Assistant Transitional Coordinator

The Assistant Transitional Coordinator is responsible for a variety of duties relating to meeting the needs of a multi-handicapped student and client population, including coordinating transition planning, the pre‑transition and transition level process, and the transition process from JRC. The Assistant Transitional Coordinator reports directly to the Transitional Coordinator. It is a non‑exempt full‑time position. Customary hours of work are 9 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday with a weekend shift every six weeks.

• Baccalaureate degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three years of experience working with a multi‑handicapped population.
• Ability to work additional hours as necessary.
• Possesses excellent problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to function with little supervision.
