• Provide student‑centered, differentiated lessons, units, and projects that align with the MA CTE Automotive Collision Repair & Refineings Frameworks.
• Employ various instructional techniques to engage all learners.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students’ maturity and interests.
• Guide the learning process toward achievement of district curriculum goals; establish and communicate clear objectives to students for lessons, units, labs, and projects.
• Maintain timely record keeping via Power School (student information and grading system) and electronic student competency tracking.
• Maintain up‑to‑date files, including student records.
• Maintain classroom management through adherence to accepted school policies.
• Provide assistance to students serving make‑up or detention.
• Participate in district professional development activities and school improvement initiatives.
• Collaboratively develop curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment.
• Provide after‑school assistance to students per contract and as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Foster competition and achievement by supporting SkillsUSA activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Vocational Director.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in at least two areas, one of which must be “Painting and Refinishing.”
• Chapter 74 Automotive Collision Repair & Refinishing License preferred (or ability/qualifications needed for licensure).
• Five years of full‑time employment experience directly related to Automotive Collision Repair & Refinishing.
• Ability to maintain student discipline, differentiate instruction, and work with diverse populations.
• Teaching experience or demonstrable teaching ability.
• Demonstration of initiative and willingness to participate in further study as necessary.
• Effective communication with students, teachers, administrators, and families.
• Willingness to foster strong relationships with students and teachers.
• Punctuality, flexibility, strong self‑management, and self‑initiative skills.
• Understanding of vocational practices, procedures, expectations, and instructional practices that facilitate students’ proficiency in their technical area.
