OpportunityOverview
PGD-Engineer (Power Generation & Delivery Engineer) based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. This is a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). You will need a diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices across various assignments related to solar power generation. Decisions will be made independently regarding engineering issues and processes. You will report to the Onsite Manager.
Your Day-to-Day CWE/ROCC Process Improvements- Develop and refine troubleshooting guides for top fault codes across all inverter technologies
- Develop fault code database and Do Not Reset (DNR) lists
- Use AI to create troubleshooting guides and apply engineering principles to datasets to combine information
- Be a primary technical liaison between Solar Inverter Fleet Team, ROCC, and CWE, acting independently on technical matters
- Complete process improvement assignments with broad terms, general goals, and limitations
- Work with individuals and OEMs within and outside the organization with responsibility regarding technical matters about individual projects
- Support component failure rate analysis and development of work plans
- Become a subject‑matter expert in at least one inverter manufacturer
- Conduct root‑cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures at solar sites
- Assist field technicians and ROCC operators with troubleshooting inverter and other solar issues
- Help develop countermeasures for recurring issues
- Support responses to regulatory bodies for data requests
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in another engineering discipline with equivalent experience with electrical systems
- 6+ years of engineering experience
- Utility‑scale inverter and power electronics experience
- Ability to work with operations teams
- Master's degree in electrical engineering preferred
- 2 years of experience with solar inverters
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Previous experience in operations support or control center environments

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $45.00/hr. to $50.00/hr.
