About the role:

We are looking for a Project Management Transmission / Substation on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). You will manage the Early Stage (ES) process for High Voltage Transmission and Substation projects. ES Project Manager (PM) coordinates and supports the Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain and Construction resources through the pre-construction (ES) activities for Transmission and Substation projects within the Engineering and Construction Business Unit (E&C).

Juno Beach, FL

• Coordinate project activities including Budget, Schedule, Procurement, Engineering, Permitting, and Land.
• Ensure each project is ready to be turned over to the construction PM with an executable construction plan (including schedule, budget, permits, risks & mitigations, etc.).
• Lead a team of project managers and manage the portfolio for a given region.
• Assist in the development of project plans with emphasis on scope, constructability, schedule, and costs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including Development, Land, Environmental, Procurement, Legal, Engineering, Operations, and Interconnection support.
• Prepare Request for Proposal documentation to source, select and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, material, equipment, and construction services.
• Support the cost estimating team with assumptions and delivering financial model inputs to the respective team.
• Own the budget and ensure the project stays on budget.
• Manage the project schedule and communicate key risks to management.
• Represent the E&C interests on assigned projects, including presentations/briefings on progress, issues and risk mitigation in meetings with multiple levels of management.
• This position is not responsible for site-based construction management.
• Current portfolio of projects spans the US and Canada.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience:
  
  8+ years
• PMP Certification is helpful
• Experience with large-scale high voltage transmission and substation projects with solid business/commercial experience
• Experience leading direct reports
• Experience managing multiple projects >$100MM

The base salary range for this position, dependent on experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $40.00/hr to $45.00/hr.
