About the role:
We're looking for a PGD Engineer – Solar Inverter on behalf of our client. This is a 1‑year contract assignment. It is a W‑2 position. The Power Generation Division is looking for a PGD Engineer. This engineer will apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and fields related to solar power generation. You will need to make decisions independently regarding engineering issues and processes.

- Develop and refine troubleshooting guides for top fault codes across all inverter technologies
- Build and maintain fault code database and Do Not Reset (DNR) lists
- Use AI to create troubleshooting guides and apply engineering principles to datasets to synthesize information
- Act as the primary technical liaison between Solar Inverter Fleet Team, ROCC, and CWE, acting independently on technical matters
- Complete process improvement assignments with broad terms, general goals, and limitations
- Work with individuals and OEMs within and outside the organization with responsibility to regarding technical matters pertaining to individual projects
- Support the responsibilities - Solar Inverter Team:
- Support component failure rate analysis and development of work plans
- Become a subject matter expert in at least one inverter manufacturer
- Conduct root‑cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures at solar sites
- Assist field technicians and ROCC operators with troubleshooting inverter and other solar issues
Help develop countermeasures for recurring issues - Support responses to regulatory bodies for data requests
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Bachelor's degree in another engineering discipline with equivalent experience with electrical systems
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Utility‑scale inverter and power electronics experience
- Ability to work with operations teams
- Master's degree in electrical engineering
- 2 years of experience with solar inverters
- Previous experience in operations support or control center environments

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $45.00/hr. to $50.00/hr.
