About the role:

We are searching for an Energy Storage Project Engineer on behalf of our client. This is a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). The Utility Scale Energy Storage team seeks a Project Engineer with a passion for renewable energy and experience in energy storage. Responsibilities include planning, designing, and managing energy storage projects, selecting equipment, coordinating engineering resources, supporting logistics and construction, and consulting across teams.

The role requires technical expertise, strong project management skills. You will analyze data, conduct technical due diligence, propose storage solutions, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize battery energy storage system performance.

Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408

Contract: 1‑year assignment (W‑2)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support design phase and engineer major components for large‑scale energy storage projects.
  • Recognize inconsistencies in engineering drawings, take corrective action, and work toward better design quality and efficiency.
  • Resolve errors in engineering studies and suggest future solutions.
  • Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts.
  • Support projects from creation to completion by working with project managers.
  • Influence project teams on engineering tasks.
  • Stay updated on project progress and technical issues.
  • Manage project milestones and recognize risks.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment.
  • Work with diverse teams to improve opportunities and integrate systems and controls.
  • Understand specifications for major equipment purchasing and propose solutions.
  • Understand permitting requirements, propose solutions to legal challenges, and recommend site design improvements.
  • Handle other assigned duties as needed.
  • Travel 25% of the time for project‑specific duties.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET‑accredited program.
  • 5+ years of proven engineering experience.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $65.00/hr to $70.00/hr.
