Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations of Beacon Mechanical Service, LLC and serve as a key strategic partner to ownership and executive leadership. This role is responsible for financial planning, reporting, compliance, and performance analysis across a project- and service-based business. The CFO will focus on improving margins, cash flow, job costing accuracy, and financial visibility while ensuring strong controls and compliance.

• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
• Oversee preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and regulatory standards
• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and credit facilities
• Analyze job costing, labor efficiency, overhead, and margins across residential and commercial work
• Partner with operations to improve pricing, profitability, and cost controls
• Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and scalable systems
• Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making
• Lead and develop the accounting and finance function; manage external accountants, auditors, and advisors
• Support growth initiatives including new services, capital investments, and system implementations

• Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, VP of Finance, or Senior Controller)
• Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and operational financial analysis
• Expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls
• Experience in mechanical contracting, construction, trades, or service-based businesses strongly preferred
• Hands-on leadership style with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
