Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Canton, Massachusetts. This contract-to-permanent role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can take ownership of financial operations, guide the team effectively, and implement efficient processes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while driving results.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the financial close process, ensuring timely completion of all accounting activities.

- Analyze and identify delays in closing the books, implementing solutions to streamline workflows.

- Develop and document new processes for improved efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

- Collaborate with the team to provide guidance and support, fostering a productive and cohesive work environment.

- Utilize Quick Books Enterprise or Quick Books Online to manage accounting tasks effectively.

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with company standards.

- Apply advanced Excel skills to perform data analysis and create detailed financial models.

- Communicate effectively across departments to address and resolve financial discrepancies.

- Mentor and train team members to improve overall performance and skillsets.

- Uphold strong document control practices, including scanning, compiling, and organizing financial records.

Requirements - Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role.

- Expertise in Quick Books Enterprise or Quick Books Online.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions and data analysis.

- Strong organizational skills with a focus on document control and recordkeeping.

- Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.

- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with teams and stakeholders.

- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead teams effectively.
