The Associate Contract Specialist is responsible for coordinating the implementation, maintenance, and administration of provider and vendor contracts across the Medical, Behavioral Health, and Ancillary networks. This individual partners with internal departments to ensure contract terms are accurately and timely operationalized across systems, processes, and stakeholders. The Associate Contract Specialist manages contract implementation activities, tracks progress, resolves operational issues, supports compliance and audit requirements, and facilitates cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful execution and ongoing maintenance of contractual agreements.
This role is also responsible for implementation documentation, operational support, issue resolution, and process improvement initiatives that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing (top five) Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of provider and vendor contracts across all lines of business. Facilitate cross-functional implementation activities to ensure contractual requirements are operationalized accurately and within established timelines. Ensure all executed contracts adhere to standard contracting policies and guardrails, or that the exception process has been followed when variations from the standard are necessary.
Review and document contract provisions, reimbursement methodologies, and operational requirements to support implementation efforts. Support testing, validation, and quality assurance activities to ensure contract configuration accuracy and operational readiness. Develop, maintain, and facilitate the claims recycle process to correct provider payments in collaboration with claims processing partners. Partner with internal stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve implementation and operational issues.
