About the roleThe HR & Workplace Specialist plays a critical role in advancing a safe, compliant, and engaging work environment while supporting talent acquisition and employee experience initiatives. This position serves as a cross‑functional partner, driving QHSE/IMS compliance, strengthening hiring outcomes, enhancing onboarding practices, and ensuring smooth daily workplace operations.
Overall, this position ensures our workplace is safe, our talent processes are effective, and employees feel supported throughout their lifecycle.
This is a hybrid role, working onsite 2-3 days a week at our Canton, MA office.
Key Responsibilities Health & Safety- Identifies and translates the latest developments in area of QHSE/IMS into policies, analyzing data and trends to provide insights and reports to management.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align strategies and ensure processes comply with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Identification, analysis, and implementation of compliance requirements relevant to QHSE/IMS subjects
- Identification, analysis, and mitigation of risks associated with the QHSE/IMS subjects
- Coordinates the implementation of policies and processes that manage risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Follow-up and investigate incidents and set corrective actions with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and review QHSE/IMS performance periodically and report to management.
- Conduct and host internal and external audits relevant to the QHSE/IMS topics
- Ensures clear and uniform application of procedures and working methods within the QHSE/IMS topics and provides support to employees in adhering to these policies.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to define scorecards, role requirements, and recruitment strategies that lead to first time right hires
- Manage job postings across multiple platforms and track applicant flow.
- Work with the Production team to establish and maintain a co‑op program with local technical high schools.
- Manage the main office phone line and general inbox, ensuring timely and professional routing of inquiries.
- Lead our Events committee and spearhead the execution of company events, team activities, and onsite meetings.
- Manage the special occasions program (gifts for weddings, birth/adoption of child, offboarding, etc.)
- Oversee office supplies, vendors, workplace maintenance, and serve as the main point of contact for daily office needs.
- Perform floor stock checks, weekly food ordering, and general updates for company TVs (presentations).
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to design, schedule, and deliver engaging first‑day introductions for new hires.
- Support onboarding processes, including paperwork coordination, orientation scheduling, and new-hire logistics.
- Own and develop the creation and implementation of 30‑day new‑hire check‑ins to assess acclimation, provide support, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Help maintain onboarding documentation, processes, and templates.
- Assist with offboarding by conducting exit interviews
