We’re seeking an experienced and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team in East Walpole, MA. This role provides hands‑on technical support to both onsite and remote employees, ensuring seamless operation of our hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, communicates effectively, and enjoys solving technical challenges with professionalism and efficiency.
Base Pay Range$25.00/hr - $40.00/hr
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Exceptional End‑User Support:
Serve as the first point of contact for IT inquiries via phone, email, and in person. Provide timely, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance to resolve issues related to hardware, software, and business applications. - System Configuration and Maintenance:
Build, configure, and maintain employee laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices. Ensure systems are properly secured, patched, and optimized for performance. - Onsite and Remote Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for both onsite staff and remote employees, ensuring reliable connectivity and access to company systems. - Preventative Maintenance & Issue Resolution:
Anticipate potential IT issues and implement proactive solutions to reduce downtime and enhance system reliability. Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts. - Incident Tracking & Documentation:
Log all service requests in the ticketing system, update progress, and ensure timely follow‑up and resolution in accordance with service‑level expectations. Document resolutions and contribute to the internal knowledge base. - Project Participation:
Partner with IT leadership and peers on technology initiatives, deployments, and infrastructure improvements. Offer feedback and recommendations to improve processes and user experience. - Asset and Security Management:
Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records. Utilize company security tools to safeguard devices and ensure compliance with internal security standards.
- High school diploma required;
Associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology or related field preferred. - 3–5 years of professional experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment.
- Strong technical skills with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, and Endpoint Manager (Intune).
- Demonstrated troubleshooting ability across hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications) strongly preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally travel to nearby office locations as needed.
