About the Role
Expeditor
12 Month, Houston, TX
You will be reporting to your Supervisor.
You will support the Supply Chain function by expediting all aspects / deliverables for items as assigned. These may include equipment/material required for completion of Purchase Orders, Contracts, or Projects.
Expedite assigned items by managing stakeholder meetings, systems, templates, processes and either aiding in mitigation of or identifying potential risks.
Develop relationships with all stakeholders, including vendors and key client groups such as engineering, project team members, project contractors, quality, and other SCM team members (e.g., Logistics).
Key Responsibilities- Help mentor new hires, project team personnel and new vendors on the current expediting process.
- Manage assigned equipment/material / logistics to ensure on-time readiness and delivery to site following the project and construction schedule.
- Manage all vendor equipment/material documentation / logistics between the vendor, Engineering (or Engineering Consultant) and internal Project teams to ensure prompt approval periods.
- Receive all required documentation complete, including approvals if applicable (drawings, RFIs, Inspection Test Plans, Weld Procedure Specifications, Final Vendor Data Requirements).
- Review vendor fabrication schedules, Inspection and Test Plans (if applicable), Inspection Reports and other important vendor and PO data to avoid any delays.
- Notify important partners of potential or actual delays while working with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Administrate, schedule, chair, minute and manage vendor supply meetings and attend project meetings.
- Report to stakeholders on equipment/material status, progress, receiving status using the required reporting formats.
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy.
- Work with vendors and stakeholders to resolve freight claims, investigate quantity shortages/overages, shipment errors, tagging issues etc.
- Communicate potential commercial and technical issues to the Project team members and stakeholders.
- Coordinate logistics for delivery of equipment/material to site and coordinate with construction at site to ensure readiness and proper equipment is available for off-loading shipment as required.
- Coordinate activities and communicate with key stakeholders.
- Keep updated electronic records per requirements for completion of PO/Contract closeouts by creating, organizing and maintaining expediting files.
- Consult/Report with Team Lead and/or Manager on Project, PO or Contract on goings.
- Minimum 9 years of applied experience.
- Experience expediting best practices and an understanding of logistics, purchasing and project document requirements.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Project Management, Purchasing / Supply Chain Management, B-Com, Finance, Business Admin.)
- Equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
- Manage timelines.
- Work on diverse projects and processes with conflicting deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Engineering and Vendor Documentation.
- Understanding of Incoterms, shipping methods and Warehousing strategies.

Base salary range for this position is estimated to be $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
