This role is ideal for someone who understands how critical spare parts, inventory accuracy, vendor management, and CMMS data directly impact equipment uptime and plant reliability. You'll work closely with Maintenance Leadership to ensure technicians have the right parts, at the right time, to keep production running efficiently.
MRO Inventory & Spare Parts Management- Create and maintain Parts Information Records (PIRs) from start to finish
- Build and update manufacturer and supplier part records
- Establish part descriptions using approved nomenclature standards
- Assign storeroom locations, reorder points, min/max levels, and inventory classifications
- Activate, deactivate, and maintain part records within the CMMS system
- Identify duplicate, obsolete, and excess inventory and implement corrective actions
- Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy
- Develop and maintain a structured spare parts inventory program
- Coordinate and kit preventative maintenance (PM) work orders
- Ensure maintenance technicians have all required parts and materials before scheduled work
- Support maintenance planning activities through accurate inventory management
- Maintain equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs) and spare parts documentation
- Source maintenance parts, supplies, and services
- Request quotes and evaluate pricing, quality, and delivery performance
- Purchase maintenance materials in a cost-effective manner
- Manage supplier relationships and identify new sourcing opportunities
- Facilitate bid processes, vendor negotiations, and service agreements
- Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of critical parts
- Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing data within the CMMS platform
- Update equipment BOMs and spare parts records
- Generate maintenance and inventory KPI reports
- Support Finance and Maintenance leadership with reporting and data analysis
- Create and maintain SOPs and training documentation
- 5+ years of experience in MRO inventory management, maintenance purchasing, supply chain, spare parts management, or maintenance storeroom operations within a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with CMMS systems (SAP PM, Maximo, eMaint, Fiix, Maintenance Connection, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience creating and maintaining part master records, BOMs, and inventory databases
- Hands-on experience with inventory control, cycle counting, min/max systems, and critical spare parts management
- Experience procuring maintenance parts and managing vendor relationships
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
