Full-time Day Shift
- Provide direct and indirect supervision to social work staff.
- Assign cases and other work to lower‑grade employees.
- Offer direction and guidance for high‑risk or high‑profile cases.
- Analyze complex cases, determine scope and type of patient service and treatment plans, and encourage compliance with agency policies, procedures and programs.
- Recommend and implement standards for evaluating the quality of social services and for changing agency policies or regulations.
- Determine and implement department operating procedures and expectations aligned with agency goals.
- Collaborate with management to monitor, evaluate agency programs and services, assess resource availability and coordinate problem‑resolution efforts.
- Plan, develop and deliver orientation and training to staff, service providers and others to ensure proper interpretation of agency policies, procedures and programs.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Criminal Justice or a related human services field.
- Current valid Massachusetts license as Licensed Social Worker (Associate, Certified, or Independent Clinical) issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration.
- At least four years of full‑time (or equivalent part‑time) social work experience, including at least one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and standards related to social work.
- Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices and techniques.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with senior leaders and high‑ranking officials.
- Ability to plan, assign and review work; recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Ability to design and conduct training for subordinates and new hires.
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Solid understanding of documentation standards and practices in social work.
- Prior experience supervising social work professionals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Teams, Outlook).
