Overview
Swan Endo Surgical is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to support the development and build of complex robotic capital equipment. This role will work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and improve prototype and pre-commercial systems from early development through clinical builds and beyond. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced product development environment and is comfortable supporting both mechanical and electrical assembly activities while helping maintain build readiness and operational efficiency.
Aboutthe Role
The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for various assembly and testing tasks related to mechanical and electrical components of robotic systems.
Responsibilities- Mechanical Assembly & Integration
- Assemble mechanical, electromechanical, and robotic subsystems from drawings and CAD models
- Perform enclosure and robotic assembly
- Install motors, sensors, actuators, cables, and mechanical hardware
- Support system integration, alignment, and functional testing
- Assist with prototype builds and engineering design iterations
- Electrical Assembly & Test
- Build and install cable assemblies and wire harnesses from drawings
- Perform cable routing, strain relief, and shield termination
- Perform soldering and electronic assembly activities
- Support PCB rework and prototype electronics builds
- Utilize multimeters and oscilloscopes during troubleshooting and test activities
- Build Support & Operations
- Support receiving, inventory management, kitting, and material readiness
- Maintain accurate build records and documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory and build environment
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to improve build processes
- Experience assembling complex electromechanical products
- Experience with robotics, automation equipment, medical devices, or capital equipment
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation
- Experience using precision hand tools and measurement equipment
- Cable assembly and wire harness fabrication
- Fine-pitch soldering and microscope work
- PCB rework and modification
- Schematic interpretation
- Oscilloscope and multimeter experience
- IPC certification preferred
