Assembly Coordinator

Vector Talent Solutions is a veteran-owned workforce solutions firm dedicated to helping organizations identify, attract, and hire top talent. We are currently seeking a Assembly Coordinator for a client within the Manufacturing industry.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Coordinator to lead daily assembly operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Canton, MA. This role is responsible for coordinating production schedules, balancing workloads, driving productivity, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who excels at coaching teams, improving processes, and collaborating across departments to achieve operational goals while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily assembly operations by managing production schedules, assigning workloads, and ensuring production targets are met.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, schedule attainment, and labor utilization, while resolving workflow bottlenecks.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to the assembly team to promote accountability, flexibility, and high performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing lean manufacturing practices and optimizing labor utilization.
  • Ensure all assembly work meets quality standards while maintaining compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability and efficient inventory management.
  • Foster clear communication across shifts and departments while supporting staffing and workforce planning efforts.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production operations.
  • Previous experience in a lead, coordinator, or supervisory role preferred.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience tracking production metrics and driving productivity improvements.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or production tracking software is preferred.

Compensation: $30 - $32 hourly
